Overlooking the outstanding and unspoiled natural beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park means Cradoc Golf Club has a stunning backdrop that few golf courses can emulate. But the real beauty of Cradoc is not just the sumptuous scenery but a magnificent 18 hole parkland golf course that was recognised as one of the finest in the Principality when it was named Welsh Golf Club of the Year in 2005.
Founded in 1967, just a couple of miles from the bustling historic market town of Brecon, Cradoc Golf Club certainly isn’t remote. Indeed it is hard to think of anywhere so far from the madding crowd but so accessible from the main population centres. Just a 45 minute drive takes you to Celtic Manor, the home of the 2010 Ryder Cup, and the club is also very easily accessible to golfers from South Wales, the Midlands, and South West England.
Cradoc Golf Club has a modern clubhouse with a comfortable lounge area and 70 cover restaurant and welcomes all visitors and societies, and those looking for membership. Visiting golfers are offered good rates and the club has competitive packages for society events.
During the last year Cradoc has hosted two major Golf Union of Wales championships and is the permanent home of the prestigious MolsonCoors Welsh "Champion of Champions" tournament and the Club is proud to note that a number of the winners have gone on to become successful tour professionals.
For the 2010 season and to celebrate the Ryder Cup coming to Wales, Cradoc Golf Club is offering an unrepeatable first year deal to new members.
